Our 2000-2010 program will be divided into classes of 2 year olds, 3 year olds and 4 year olds that offer 2, 3 or 5 day a week options. We will also offer 5-days-a-week Bridge and Kindergarten classes for older 4 and 5 year olds. Each class will have a maximum of 10, 12 or 14 students (depending on ages) with a teacher and a teacher’s aide.

Janie Hernandez is our Director and has over 20 years experience as a childcare provider and is also certified as a Day School/Day Care Center director. All of our teachers and aides have extensive experience in child care, are CDA accredited, and receive ongoing training. They also have current state and federal background checks and have received church required training entitled “Safeguarding God’s Children.” In addition, our Bridge and Kindergarten teachers are state-licensed, elementary school teachers.

Our curriculum is a mix of traditional preschool program and Montessori methodology, with some supplemental resources for reading and language comprehension. All groups engage in imaginative play, experiential learning opportunities and age appropriate chapel services and religious instruction.

Or educational goals for our Early Pre-school children include: learning the alphabet and to recognize letters, learning to identify colors in English and Spanish, mastering counting 1-10 in English and Spanish, and gain an understanding of some abstract and spatial concepts (i.e., hot-cold, over-under, etc.).

Our educational goals for our Pre-school and Pre-Kindergarten children include: mastered simple word recognition and early reading skills, basic mathematical concepts, rudimentary ethics and manners and a bit of conversational Spanish.

Our educational goals for our Bridge and Kindergarten classes exceed state-determined learning and developmental objectives/guidelines for student preparing to entering 1st grade.

We have a parents’ meeting before the start of the school year to distribute handbooks, calendars and schedules and give everyone a tour of our facilities and a chance to meet teachers and see classrooms.
